This one is addressed to HTC Hero owners that have some problems with connecting their smartphone to the PC. If you have tried to sync the HTC Hero with Windows 7, you certainly encountered some problems. Here is a HTC Hero sync guide to deal with all those errors.

When you connect the smartphone to the PC, Windows 7 automatically tries to install the drivers you need. This installation process is not successful and you must do it manually.

Sync the HTC Hero with Windows 7 Guide

  1. Download HTC Sync 2.04 from Here and install it.
  2. Download the HTC Hero drivers for your version of Windows 7:
  3. Extract the files above into a folder.
  4. In the windows search box, type “Devices and Printers” and press enter. You should see an incorrectly installed Android Phone. Right Click on it -> Properties -> Hardware.
  5. Update the driver by selecting the folder above, with the extracted files.
  6. (Optional) If no ADB drivers were installed, you can install the drivers in the simple way. Double click on the .INF file, from the driver pack, and select Install.
  7. You should now see the smartphone as “My HTC”, and the sync process can be done with ease.

Everyone hates something about his or her body. It seems as if we are never happy with ourselves, always wanting to change something. A lot of us live our lives like penned animals. Built to move, too often we put ourselves in a cage. We have bodies designed for racing across the savannas, but we live a lifestyle designed for migrating from the bed to the breakfast table; to the car seat; to the office chair; to the restaurant booth; to the living room couch and back to the bed.

Today, our daily obligations of work and home keep us tied to our chairs, and if we want exercise, we have to seek it out.

In fact, health experts insist that obesity problem is probably caused at least as much by lack of physical activity as by eating too much. Hence, it is important that people need to move around.

However, that does not mean that a lap or two around the old high school track will offset a daily dose of donuts. Exercise alone is not very efficient, experts say. They contend that if you just exercise and do not change your diet, you may be able to prevent weight gain or even lose a few pounds for a while.

Nevertheless, it is not something that you are likely to sustain unless exercise is part of an overall program. The more regularly you exercise, the easier it is to maintain your weight. Here is what to do every day to make sure that you get the exercise you need.

  1. Get Quality Sleep

Make sure that you get adequate sleep. Good sleep habits are conducive to exercise, experts point out. If you feel worn out during the day, you are less likely to get much physical activity during the day.

In addition, there is evidence that people who are tired tend to eat more, using food as a substance for the rest they need.

  2. Walk

It is probably the easiest exercise program of all. In fact, it may be all you ever have to do, according to some professional advice of some health experts.

Gradually build up to at least 30 minutes of brisk walking five times a week. Brisk walks themselves have health and psychological benefits that are well worth the while.

  3. Walk The Treadmill

When the weather is bad, you might not feel like going outdoors. But if you have a treadmill in the television room, you can catch up on your favorite shows while you are doing your daily good turn for your weight-maintenance plan.

Most of us watch television anyway, and indoor exercise equipment enables anyone to turn a sedentary activity into a healthy walk.

  4. Make The Time

Excuses aside, lack of time is certainly a limiting factor in most lifestyles. That is why health experts suggest a basic guideline for incorporating exercise into your schedule.

Get as much exercise as you can that feels good without letting it interfere with your work or family life. If you need to, remind yourself that you are preventing many health problems when you prevent weight gain; and keeping your health is a gift to your family as well as yourself.

Each time we send an image attached to an e-mail or we upload one on the internet, we need to ensure that our personal data & files are not going away in the same time with it.

jStrip is a free tool to reduce the file size of JPEG images without sacrificing image quality. High-traffic websites with many JPEG images can benefit from decreased bandwidth costs. Less hard disk space will be used by image collectors.

jStrip works by removing unneeded data from JPEG files. This data is unused by web browsers and image viewing software. jStrip does not re-compress an image, so there is no image quality loss.

Features

jStrip removes the following from JPEG files:

  • Comments (optionally)
  • EXIF Data (optionally)
  • JFIF Header (optionally)
  • Photoshop Image Resource Block (optionally)
  • ICC color profile
  • Adobe APP14 tag (optionally)
  • XMP data (optionally)
  • Extra bytes at end of file
  • Extra bytes or header at beginning of file
  • Extra bytes between JPEG blocks
  • Application-specific APPx blocks
  • Photoshop thumbnails
  • Any other unknown blocks in the JPEG files

jStrip also has the following features:

  • Option to retain original time-stamp of modified files
  • Ability to process a single file, or batch processing, including recursing a folder tree
  • Option to attempt to clear read-only bit
  • Includes a full help file
  • Allows browsing and processing of UNC paths
  • A command line version for batch processing
  • Can change case of filenames, and change %20 and underscores to spaces in filenames

Supported Operating Systems

  • Windows 95 with Internet Explorer 4
  • Windows NT4 with Service Pack 6a and Internet Explorer 4
  • Windows 98
  • Windows 2000 Professional or Server
  • Windows ME
  • Windows XP Home or Professional
  • Windows Server 2003
  • Windows Vista (all editions)

* Windows 95 and NT4 require IE 4 or greater for the HTML help to work correctly.

Extract the content of the archive that you downloaded from here (click) and then start the installation process by clicking setup.exe.

After installation, run the program and the open the configuration window (File | Options ).

In the General Tab you are allowed to activate the option Clear read-only bit which suppresses write protection, if any.

In File Selection Tab , check Select files (classic interface). This enables you to choose the files later.

The settings for the information that must be eliminated from an image are located in the JPEG Tab.

By using the default settings of the application, jStrip also deletes the ICC color profiles and the information that is added when a program like Photoshop was used to edit an image.

Confirm all the changes with a click on the OK button.

Now select from the tree structure the folder that contains the images and click Start to clean the files.

A direct effect to the files is that their dimension will be significantly decreased.

As an advice, make sure that you work with copies of the images, because the application overwrites the new files to the old ones and in this way there might be a possibility to lose some important data. If you want to edit the picture once again or you want to put them back on a camera, it would be better to remove the specified information.

Today, Facebook is launching another way for people to access Facebook anytime, anywhere: 0.facebook.com. 0.facebook.com is a new mobile site that includes all of the key features of Facebook but is optimized for speed. It initially is available through more than 50 mobile operators in 45 countries and territories with zero data charges.

Collaborating with operators from around the world, Facebook developed this new mobile site with two main attributes:

  • It’s fast: 0.facebook.com includes all the key features of our standard mobile site m.facebook.com. Users can update their status, view their News Feed, like or comment on posts, send and reply to messages, or write on their friends’ Wall just as they do on Facebook.com. Rather than making photos viewable on 0.facebook.com, we put the photos one click away so they don’t slow down the experience.
  • It’s free: Thanks to the help of mobile operators we collaborated with, people can access 0.facebook.com without any data charges. Using 0.facebook.com is completely free. People will only pay for data charges when they view photos or when they leave 0.facebook.com to browse other mobile sites. When they click to view a photo or browse another mobile site a notification page will appear to confirm that they will be charged if they want to leave 0.facebook.com

The 0.facebook.com site is only available on the networks of these operators. People can still access Facebook from our standard mobile site m.facebook.com or our mobile site for touch screen mobile devices, touch.facebook.com, under their operator’s standard data charges.

Soon, 0.facebook.com will also be available from the following operators: Vodafone in Qatar, Telstra in Australia, Movistar in El Salvador, SFR in France, XL in Indonesia, DiGi in Malaysia, Telecom NZ in New Zealand, SMART in the Philippines, Digicel in Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago, 3 in the UK, and MTN in Cameroon and Guinea Conakry.
